Starting in 2018 we have 7- five-acre parcels for sale. In
San Luis Valley Ranches, there are three parcels are in Unit 11, two in Unit 12. We have two parcels in Unit 1 in Mount Blanca
Valley Ranches. These 7 parcels are 19 miles from the town of Alamosa and 9 miles from the little town
of Blanca. There are at least 4 permanent residents in the area, and 12 cabins. There
are NO utilities and for permanent residents, a well permit, septic system, and a solar power system are required.
The county uses a combination of Land Use and Building Code for unincorporated areas of Alamosa County.
Permits are required before starting construction. Well permits are for inside, domestic use, only.
RV’s can be used for recreational camping but not as a permanent residence. Access from Alamosa, head
east on US 160 for 16 miles and turn left on CO 150 (the Sand Dunes Park road). Zero odometer as you turn
left. Head north on 150 for 3.4 miles and turn right on Rd 18. Consult Map for the specific
lots. From Fort Garland – Head west for 9 miles to Co 150. Go north for 3.4 miles
and turn right, then consult map for specific lots.
